Blue November

In November, Cheverny sees Blue !

.

For the 8th year running, Cheverny Castle dresses in blue to combat diabetes !

.

In the month of November, the facade of Cheverny Castle will be lit up in blue. As fervent supporters of the combat against diabetes, the Marquis and Marquise de Vibraye wish to raise awareness about this illness which is still too rarely discussed.

.

A person with diabetes has too much sugar in their blood. For children, it is one of the most serious illnesses. This auto-immune condition concerns an increasing number of children and teenagers. Despite progress thanks to research, much is still to be discovered about its causes.

.

"We are extremely committed to this cause because our three children were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes from an early age. Our goal is to raise awareness amongst elected representatives about this chronic illness. It is essential to end the discrimination linked to this illness, concerning the driving license for example, or when seeking bank loans and insurance, and also by ensuring that extra time is systematically offered during exams."

.
